What is CAN?

A Community-based support and progression service for adults with disabilities, available Monday to Friday

What's Involved and Who's It For?

CAN is a support service for adults with disabilities to participate in community activities and programmes alongside their peers, supported by staff and funded through Adult Social Care.

Community Participation & Inclusion

Building relationships, accessing the community and reducing social isolation.

Independent Living & Life Skills

Developing everyday skills to increase independence, choice and control.

Health, Wellbeing & Personal Development

Promoting physical, emotional and mental wellbeing while achieving personal goals.

Supported Volunteering Opportunities

Developing confidence, skills and purposeful roles through supported volunteering.

CAN Plus includes everything offered through CAN, with the option of supported volunteering for people who want to explore volunteering as a form of meaningful occupation and community contribution.
