Last Monday we held our annual Celebration of Achievements event, which was at South Shields Town Hall.

This was a fantastic event, which celebrated every single member of PRS, as each individual has undertaken a course with us to enhance and recognise their current skills. We also celebrated the achievements of learners from Holder House C.I.C , The Cedarwood Trust and independent learners.

A special thank you to those presenting the certificates to the learners; the Mayor of South Tyneside Cllr Fay Cunningham, Mayoress Stella Mathewson and The Leader of South Tyneside Council, Cllr Tracey Dixon Dixon.

Courses that have been achieved this academic year were, English and Maths skills, Preparing for Further Learning or Employment, Independent Living and Personal Progress.

We would also like to say thank you to some of our partners that also attended the event; Hedworthfield Community Association, Ocean Road Centre, South Shields Football Club, ITC Service, South Tyneside College, Dave Clough The Way Forward Northeast, NOCN and Age Concern Tyneside South.

Finally, thank you to Jane Gray Wedding Pianist for playing music for us throughout, it was truly beautiful.

Well done to everyone. You all passed your courses from not only the support from the tutors and learner support but, mainly from your dedication and willingness to learn. Congratulations 👏
