For 16 years we’ve helped hundreds of people boost their confidence with community projects, work experience, and placements to help them gain independence. Now we’re evolving into a larger training service, helping more people than ever to learn the skills necessary to earn a living from their passions!
What we offer as an NOCN Training Centre
NOCN is a registered educational charity and stands for National Open College Network. The group’s aims are to help people attain learn new skills, meet their career goals and help them reach their potential in the working world.
Through this organisation, we will be providing a broad range of training courses. These services will be an excellent addition to our Day Opportunities and Transition to Employment services, as everyone who attends can now take part in qualified courses, ranging from food & cookery, history, film & cinema, health & wellbeing, to hair & beauty and much, much more!
Who can sign up for a NOCN course?
Anyone can sign up to these training courses, including those who currently attend our Day Opportunities. If you’re looking to learn a valuable skill or new qualification, you’re free to sign up and start learning with us!
Every qualified course is tailored to suit the individual’s career aspirations. It doesn’t matter if you’re in education or at college, if you’re over the age of 16 you can still join our training courses and benefit from tailored learning in a welcoming and friendly environment.
Will there still be regular services?
Yes! Our training courses will not interfere with our regular services to help individuals with their support and training. We know it’s important not to cause too big a change to people’s schedules, and we’ll still be on hand to help our service users take control of their lives.
